Boris Johnson’s Spends Second Night In ICU “Condition Is Stable”

Boris Johnson, British Prime Minister, has spent the second night in ICU battling the Coronavirus. The virus has infected 55,000 people across the entire country and has killed more than 6,200.

Dominic Raab Foreign secretary said deputizing for Johnson “confident he’ll pull through, because if there’s one thing I know about this prime minister, he’s a fighter and he’ll be back, leading us through this crisis in short order”.

On Tuesday the prime minister spokesman said in an update said: “condition is stable and he remains in intensive care for close monitoring.” He also said earlier that the 55-year-old prime minister was receiving proper oxygen and breathing treatment without any additional assistance and had not required any ventilator assistance.

Boris is the most high-profile government leader of the country to become infected with novel Coronavirus the CVID-19 and thousands of support messages from across Britain and the whole world flooded in.

Johnson was admitted to ICU on Monday evening after he spent the Sunday night in the hospital, he had a high fever and dry cough after 10 days of being diagnosed with COVID-19. Johnson’s transfer to an intensive care unit is unparalleled for the prime minister in this chaotic situation of the National Emergency.

Britain has so far seen more than 6,159 death in the country and around 786 people are reported more on Tuesday.

Senior minister Michael Gove insisted in broadcast interviews that the government work should go on. He later added that he will stay home as some of his family members are displaying mild symptoms of Coronavirus.

“There is a clear plan… the government and the cabinet are working together to implement that plan,” said Johnson’s spokesman.

Experts say that Raab would need the cabinet’s support to make upcoming big decisions as the country does not have any kind of formal constitutional role defining prime minister.

The most important decision is coming up next week about whether the lockdown should be continued to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

On 27^th March Johnson announced that has tested positive for COVID-19 and self-isolated himself in a flat above his street office in Downing. He was moved to ICU on Monday after his condition worsened.

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin also tweeted sending good wished to Johnson.

The British government was highly criticized for refusing to initiate lockdown and asking people to stay at home as the Coronavirus spread was massive across the globe.

Johnson was shaking hands with people, he told earlier in march. The parliament still continued to sit even after the lockdown was announced.

Prince Charles and Matt Hancock have been also infected but have recovered since.
