Digs Pit To Bury His Daughter, Instead Finds A Baby Buried Alive
Uttar Pradesh,INDIA A trader, found and rescued a baby girl who was buried alive and fed her milk using cotton.
Hitesh Kumar, a trader, got stunned when he found a baby girl buried alive when he was digging to conceal his daughter. His child died minutes after being born. The baby was buried three feet below the earth in a pot. He rescued the baby and fed her milk using cotton. The baby was admitted to a private hospital for further treatment.
Hitesh’s wife was pregnant, and she gave birth to a seven-month premature girl who couldn’t survive and died a few moments later. The husband then went to bury his dead child, when he was digging the pit, the spade hit an earthen pot. When he pulled the pot out, there was a baby girl buried alive inside. The baby was in bad condition and was breathing heavily.
The police department is investigating the parents of the poor child who buried her alive. Meanwhile, the baby girl’s condition is getting better, given the best facilities available in the town. The senior superintendent of Police Mr. Shailendra said that the matter is under investigation, and the baby is getting the proper care. The Chief Medical Office Vineet Shukla told that Rajesh Mishra, MLA, Bithari Chainpur had taken the responsibility of the baby’s treatment.
The gender ratio in India is one of the worst in the world. Women are often thought of as financial burdens. A traditional preference for a male child results in female foeticide and infanticide.
